Real-Time Science: Dynamic Integration of Research into Training
Real-Time Science: Dynamic Integration of Research into Training (2024-2026)
Co-leader: Charlotte da Cunha and Luisa da Purificacao (OVSQ Educational Engineer)
The project aims to strengthen the connection between research and teaching by providing a straightforward protocol for researchers and professors to create real-time educational content. By seamlessly integrating "science in the making" into academic programs, this project will allow students direct access to current scientific developments, particularly on urgent topics like climate change. Through pilot experiments and feedback, the project aims to overcome technical, pedagogical and organisational barriers to transcend the separation between research and training, thereby highlighting scientific activities and encouraging better integration between the two fields. This approach will ensure that master’s programs stay closely aligned with recent research, paving the way for continuity into doctoral studies.
