Idrissa Oumar KANE is a PhD student and contractual researcher at University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. Through the thesis course, his researches focus on the subject “Sustainable cities and climate change: from eco-innovation technocentred based-approach to social eco-innovation. What resilience for Europeans coasts? These researches are one part of the Theseus project, a 7th framework Program of European Union (2010-2013) focused on “Innovation technologies for safer Europeans coast in a changing climate”. The interests of these researches are oriented towards coastal risk governance and socio-ecosystem sustainability in the context of climate change and its huge uncertainties. That will contribute, essentially, to explore and exploit theoretically and empirically the notions of perceptions, representations and risk communication through a Decision Support System. The vulnerability, resilience and adaptation issues serve as conceptual levers in the proposition of operational and pragmatic approaches for a participative climate risks management and governance.

In his others scientific activities, he has been, from 2011 to 2013, a monitor in the tutorial work/courses in the Master 1 SETE (Environment Science, Economy and Territory), on modules “Integrated Analysis Modeling” and “Environment Science and Society”.
